Denim Care Guide
A favourite pair of jeans is something you never want to part with. Follow these simple rules to make your denim pieces last forever.
- First of all, check the care label instructions. Some denim garments cannot be dry-cleaned.
- Do not wash denim too often: 2–3 washes a season are more than enough. Opt for a delicate setting, 30°С/86°F, and the lowest spin speed. Before washing, check the pockets, turn the garment inside out, and close the zip fly.
- Wash denim separately from other clothing, without soaking or bleaching.
- At first, the dark denim dye may transfer to your light shoes and clothing during wear. This will stop after the first 3 washes.
- Use a liquid detergent to preserve the garment’s colour but remember that denim dye will wash out with time: this is natural for authentic denim.
- To keep denim durable, dry it naturally in a well-ventilated area. After the wash, spread the garment to avoid creases and wrinkles.
- As a rule, jeans don’t need ironing, but you can iron them inside out at up to 150°C/300°F if necessary.
